Contacting IBM Support

IBM Support provides assistance with product defects. Before contacting IBM
Support, the following criteria must be met:
v Your company has an active maintenance contract.
v You are authorized to submit problems.
To contact IBM Support with a problem, use the following procedure:
1. Define the problem, gather background information, and determine the severity
2. Gather diagnostic information.
3. Submit the problem in one of the following ways:
If the problem you should submit is for a software defect or for missing or
inaccurate documentation, IBM Support creates an authorized program analysis
report (APAR). The APAR describes the problem in detail. Whenever possible, IBM
Support provides a workaround that you can implement until the APAR is
resolved and a fix is delivered.

site, click Contacts. In the U.S. and Canada, call 1–800–IBM-SERV
(1–800–426–7378) and select option 2 for software.
