3.4.9.4 How do I restart the scan head?

Scan head problems are often temporary and can usually be resolved by restarting the scan head following
these steps:
1. End the current session and shut down the device, see Shut down the scan head on page 29.
2. Switch the power back on.
3. Log in to the scan head. Enter your username and password (all passwords are case sensitive).
Note
If you start up the scan head in error do

shut down the system wait until the start up has been completed, and the status indicator shows
green and then select
To allow time for the services to reset, wait at least 30 seconds before switching the device back
l
on.

3.4.9.5 How do I restart the image server?

Software problems are often temporary and can be resolved by restarting the PC.
Note
When restarting the image server:
Ask scan head users to logout before shutting down the image server.

Ask browser-based review client users to close Optos software.
l
1. Close all applications on the PC.
2. Select
Start > Shut down > Restart
3. Log on PC when prompted.
4. You can now login to the scan head and re-open any Optos applications on the other PCs.

3.4.9.6 What should I do if the PC drive on the image server is full?

Ask your System Administrator to:
Empty the PC Recycle Bin
l
Empty the Temporary Internet files
l
Archive and clear archived studies to recover disk space
l
If the image server is full it is likely that the system needs to be archived and cleaned up using the archiving
tools.
