17. Download a new version of Software and/or language

Program downloads and new releases of CP 545 software are available Free of Charge on our website
www.tagheuer-timing.com
For this operation, you need to have:

USB cable (HL545-3) or RS232 cable – (Sub-D9p/RJ11) HL545-10

Computer

The software «FirmwareManager.exe » upper th/version V10.
Procedure
1. Copy the software « FirmwareManager.exe » onto your hard disk
2. Power the CP 545 with an external power supply (The CP 545 is off).
3. Connect the USB or RS232 cable (HL545-10) to the PC and the CP 545
4. Run the software « FirmwareManager.exe » upper th/version VA01.
Select Serial Port
Select File Name
5. Select the COM Port
6. Select the file: Update (CP 545_xxx.dat)
7. Press START on the software.
8. Power ON the CP 545 (press the ON button for 5 seconds)
The CP 545 will go into a special mode « Download ».
The LDC back light will be ON, but LCD will be blank.
9. As soon as the upgrade is downloaded into the CP 545, validate the software with OK.
10. Remove the RS232 cable from the CP 545, and switch on the CP 545 again.
11. The new software version will be printed (if the Printer is in ON)
