Setup
STOP HERE if using the Hybrid Select without the IT Air Pad. Refer to the "Offloading Option" in this manual before completing the
Setup instructions on this page.
Warnings - Before Use: Read all safety information and perform all steps below. Transfer to the cushion only after performing all steps
included in "Setup" (two pages). Make sure the cushion is properly sized to the individual.
SETUP - PART ONE: Remove the cover and unlock the ISOFLO.
1. Using a stable surface, such as a table, unzip and open
the cover. Turn the product over and make sure the quick
disconnects are securely connected to the ISOFLO.
Note: When attaching the quick disconnects: The tubes can
be attached in any order.
Inflation valve
SETUP - PART TWO: Perform atmospheric inflation.
IMPORTANT! Make sure there is NO WEIGHT on the air pads. If the individual is sitting on the cushion, transfer off.
1. Add air:
a. Open the inflation valve.
Notes: To open, turn at least one full rotation. The inflation
valve will spin freely when open. You can use the hand pump
nozzle to open the inflation valve.
b. Inflate with the hand pump until all of the air cells feel firm.
Note: All air cells will inflate at the same time.

SETUP - PART THREE: Cover and place in the wheelchair.
1. Before closing the cover:
- Make sure the Large Air Pad
is positioned correctly, with the
hook and loop strips aligned.
- Make sure the Large Air Pad is
securely attached to the foam
base.
- Make sure there is NO GAP
between the Large Air Pad and
the foam base.
2. Zip the cover closed (see cover
installation instructions).

2. Make sure the ISOFLO is unlocked. See the "ISOFLO Memory
Control" section.
Note: When the ISOFLO is unlocked, the air flows freely through all
of the air cells. You will not be able to inflate the cushion unless the
ISOFLO is unlocked.

3. Place the Hybrid Select on the wheelchair (air

2. Adjust to atmospheric pressure:
a. Remove the hand pump, and DO NOT close the inflation valve.
b. Allow air to escape from the inflation valve. Listen (or place
a hand in front of the inflation valve) to see if the airflow has
stopped.
3. Close the inflation valve completely. The cushion is now inflated to
atmospheric pressure.

Note: Use the symbol on the cover to help orient
the cushion.
Warning: To ensure the product
performs as intended: Make sure that the
back corners of the cushion contact the back
canes of the wheelchair. For wheelchairs that do
not have back canes, make sure the cushion is
flush with the backrest upholstery.
Check for interference with other wheelchair components. Make
sure that the wheelchair foot supports and back support are
correctly positioned.
