Replacing the nose cup
1. Remove the funnel from the speech diaphragm groove.
2. Take hold of the nose cup at the tip of the nose, then release it off
the pin and out of the speech diaphragm groove (Figure G).
3. Put the new nose cup onto the pin to center it.
4. Press the ring of the nose cup into the corresponding speech
diaphragm groove (Figure H, step 1) - at first at the bottom and
then all around the speech diaphragm.
5. Orient the marking on the funnel to the top and press the funnel
into the corresponding speech diaphragm groove (Figure H,
Step 2).

Replacing O-ring and speech diaphragm
1. Remove both funnel and nose cup.
2. Unscrew the speech diaphragm using the special tool and remove
it.
3. Visually inspect speech diaphragm and O-ring and replace if
necessary.
4. Insert O-ring, then carefully screw in speech diaphragm
(recommended torque: 2.95 ±0.37 ft lb/400 ±50 Ncm). Do not
damage the diaphragm.
5. Attach both nose cup and funnel.

Replacing the exhalation valve
1. Remove the screw from the flap.
2. Open the flap.
3. Pull the straight arm of the spring bridge outwards and remove the
spring bridge (Figure I).
4. Remove the valve disk.
5. Check if valve disk and seat are clean and undamaged. Clean or
replace if necessary.
6. Insert the valve disk.
7. Put the spring onto the center of the valve disk, insert the bent arm
and lock both arms of the spring bridge into place.
8. Close the flap and fasten the screw.

Replacing the inhalation valve
1. Press the button on the connection piece.
2. Pull the inhalation valve seat out of the connection piece.
3. Check if valve disk and seat are clean and undamaged. Clean or
replace if necessary.
4. Press the button on the connection piece and insert the inhalation
valve seat into the facepiece.

Replacing the valve disks of the nose cup valves
Check if valve disk and seat are clean and undamaged. Clean or
replace if necessary.

Replacing the connection piece
1. Remove both funnel and nose cup.
2. Remove the screw from the flap and take off the flap.
3. Unhook the cap from the visor frame (Figure F1-1) on both sides.
4. Use your thumb to press against the bottom part of the cap, then
remove the cap from the fastening lugs (Figure F1-2).
5. Pull the cap upwards and away from the facepiece.
6. Use a screw driver to pry open the clamping ring, then remove it.
7. Pull out the old connection piece.
8. Insert the new connection piece so that it is form-fitting and aligned
according to the center marking.
9. Align and mount new clamping ring: Attach the hook to ensure the
tightest possible fit of the clamping ring. Compress the nose on the
connector clamp using type R 53 239 pliers until the facepiece
connector is securely located in the facepiece body.
10. Put the cap onto the connection piece, lock it into place on the
fastening lugs and hook it into the visor frame.
11. Close the flap and fasten the screw.
12. Attach both nose cup and funnel.
