BEFORE YOU BEGIN • READ THIS MANUAL COMPLETELY BEFORE STARTING YOUR INSTALLATION. • CONSULT LOCAL OFFICIALS FOR ANY APPLICABLE CODES AND REGULATIONS. • DETERMINE THE BEST LOCATION FOR YOUR BASIN AND CONTROL PANEL (SEE FIG. 1). DO NOT DROP OR ROLL BASIN.

STEP 1. Hole Excavation, Bedding & Setting of the Basin STEPS & TIPS: • Refer To The Gravel Size Diagram For Acceptable Bedding Material Sizes. • Compact The Bedding Per ASTM D 2321 Specifications Outlined For Bedding. • Set The Basin Into The Hole Using A Cloth Lifting Strap As Shown In Figure 3a, Or A Chain And Spreader Bar Assembly To Lift The Basin On Units With Pre-cast Ballast Per Figure 3b.

STEP 2. Discharge Connections & Backfill to Inlet Depth STEPS & TIPS: • A Flexible Pipe Coupling Or Fitting Is Recommended To Help Compensate For Settling Of Ground. • Make Sure The Required Redundant Check Valve Is Installed In Proper Direction. Flow Arrow Should Point Away From The Basin.

STEP 4. WIRING THE STATION TO ALARM BOX Strip the outer jacket of the cord or cable back about six inches making sure not to damage the individual leads. Strip about ½ “ of the insulation off the ends of the individual leads. Wire per the illustration below FIGURE 6...

STEP 5. WIRING SERVICE DROP TO ALARM BOX The service supply panel will be required to have a separate 25-amp double pole breaker to supply power to the pump and a separate 10-amp circuit breaker for the alarm circuit in the control panel. The following work is to be performed only by certified, experience personnel.

STEP 7. Pump & Level Control Wiring Power/Control Cable- Insert female end of cable plug into housing bore aligning alignment mark with hole in terminal block see Figures 4 & 5. STEP 8. Setting Pump Into Basin STEPS & TIPS: • Once the lifting device is attached to the pump, secure it so it will not fall into basin. • Thread flex hose assembly into check valve on pump. Remove upper valve nut assembly as shown and secure to other end of the flex hose assembly.

STEP 9. Inlet Connection and Final Backfill STEPS & TIPS: • Inlet Should Not Interfere With Pump Removal Or Level Control Operation. • Inlet Should Have A Minimum 1/8” Per Foot Drop. If required only use 45° elbows. • Proper Backfill Should Be Done To Prevent Excessive Damage From Settling Per ASTM D 2321 As Outlined for Bedding.

STEP 10. Installation of Cover Gasket STEPS & TIPS: • Conduit Must Be Sealed To Prevent Water Infiltration (Fig. 15). • Peal and Place Gasket on Clean/Dry Basin Rim Surface Inside Bolt Circle. (Fig. 16) • Before installing the cover make certain that all cords are tied up and clear of pump and level control.
