PMT High-Voltage Adjustment

In the event that the PMT High-Voltage module needs to be changed, the following steps should be
taken.
1. Remove the top cover of the detector module.
2. Turn the high-voltage switch to the OFF position.
3. Locate the High-Voltage Module.
4. Set voltmeter to 1VDC scale, and connect it between blue test point TP1 and yellow test point TP2.
5. Turn the High-Voltage switch to the ON position.
6. While monitoring the voltage with the voltmeter, use the P2 trimpot on the High-Voltage PC Board to
set the High-Voltage to the desired value. Meter will read 1/1000 of actual value.
7. Turn the High-Voltage switch to the OFF position and remove the voltmeter leads.
8. Turn the High-Voltage switch to the ON position.
9. Perform calibration procedure.
10. Resume normal operation.

DEATH OR SERIOUS INJURY WILL OCCUR IF NOT AVOIDED!
An electrocution hazard exists because severe electrical shock hazards exist
when working around the high-voltage and/or 115/230 VAC components while
power is applied.
HOW TO PROCEED: Avoid hazard by turning off the unit with the ON/OFF
switch and remove the power connection or power cord from the unit to the
power source. Also, follow any required lock-out/tag-out procedures your
company policy requires.
To prevent electrical shock hazard DO NOT operate this equipment in rain or
wet conditions.
