Problem
The machine does not drive.
The coring head does not drive.
The head bounces while aerating.
The turf is tufting/tearing on entrance.
There is hole tufting with side eject tines.
The turf is lifting/tearing while aerating.
The front of the hole is dimpled or pushed.
Possible Cause
1. The handlebar is raised and the
parking brake is engaged.
2. The hydraulic-fluid level is low.
3. The tow valve is open.
4. The hydraulic system is damaged.
5. An operator presence fault or other
fault is present.
6. The pump belt is worn or misadjusted
1. A belt is worn or loose.
2. The clutch is worn.
3. A switch or relay is worn.
1. The ground is too hard.
2. There is an issue with the relief setting.
1. Ground calibration is no longer valid.
2. The turf does not support the installed
tine quantity or selected tine spacing.
3. The clutch cannot start the coring head
quick enough in immediate-drop mode.
1. The ejection window is catching on
exit.
1. Check the coring head attitude.
2. The tine diameter, spacing, or quantity
is incorrect for the application.
3. The depth is excessive.
4. The hole spacing is too close.
5. The turf conditions (i.e., root structure)
are insufficient to resist damage.
1. Roto-Link is in the soft position.

Corrective Action
1. Lower the handlebar to disengage the
parking brake.
2. Add hydraulic fluid.
3. Close the tow valve.
4. Contact your authorized the
manufacturer distributor.
5. Check for InfoCenter fault codes.
6. Replace a worn pump belt or adjust
belt tension.
1. Adjust or replace the belts.
2. Replace the clutch.
3. Replace the switch or relay.
1. Refer to Operating Tips.
2. There is a dynamic response of the lift
system. Adjust the system pressures;
refer to the Service Manual.
1. Calibrate the tine ground height.
2. Adjust the tine quantity or diameter,
adjust the hole spacing, and review
Operating Tips.
3. Inspect clutch for wear or damage.
Aerate using the delay-drop mode.
1. Rotate the tine 45° to 90° so that it
ejects out the side. If that does not
work, try a hollow tine.
1. Refer to the Service Manual for
specification.
2. Reduce the tine diameter, reduce the
number of tines per head, or increase
the hole spacing.
3. Reduce the depth.
4. Increase the hole spacing.
5. Alter the aeration methods or timing.
