  • Page 4 About the Powermax45 voltage divider The Powermax45 is equipped with a factory-installed voltage divider that is designed to be safely connected without tools. The built-in voltage divider provides a 50:1 arc voltage. A receptacle on the rear of the power supply provides access to the 50:1 arc voltage and signals for arc transfer and plasma start.
  • Page 5 INTERFACE CABLE REPLACEMENT Set the voltage divider on the Powermax65/85, Powermax65/85/105 SYNC WARNING ELECTRIC SHOCK CAN KILL. Disconnect electric power and wait 1 minute to allow stored energy to discharge before doing installation or maintenance. You can get a serious electric shock if electric power is not disconnected.

If you want to connect the Powermax system to Hypertherm’s Edge Ti or Sensor PHC products, order part number 123896 for a cable already terminated with the appropriate D-sub connector.
