Viewing WRS/RSX Reporting and Status Values

You can use the STATUS WRS or STATUS RSX command to check WRS or RSX configuration and data.
This information may be helpful during system checkout and for troubleshooting any communication
problems.
To view the WRS or RSX reporting and status values:
At the WRS HMI prompt, type STATUS WRS (or STATUS RSX) and press ENTER.
If the WRS has poor or no communication with its RSX/TEC, use STATUS WRS to check the following
parameters:
Parameter(s)
Radio Channel
RSX Address and RSX EUID
Battery Status and Low Battery

Pinging an RSX (PING)

You can use the PING command to confirm that an RSX is actively communicating with the WRS.
To ping an associated RSX, type PING RSX and press ENTER at the WRS HMI prompt. Upon a
successful ping, the associated RSX's LED turns solid yellow for 10 seconds, and the WRS reports the
ping was successfully sent and received.
If the associated RSX does not respond to the PING command:
determine if another RSX responded to the command.
confirm that the RSX is powered on.
check that the antenna is securely connected.
use the CHECK RSX command to ensure that the WRS has been bound to the RSX being pinged.

Table 10. STATUS WRS Poor Communication Indicators.
For Good Communication:
Ensure these match settings for the WRS and RSX.
Show the device address and EUID of the RSX bound
to the WRS. If the WRS is not bound to an RSX, this
field displays "NOT BOUND". A value of "UNKNOWN"
indicates that the WRS was reset and has not yet
received the address from the RSX.
Ensure the battery is charged and not in low battery
condition.
