ELECTRON IC OVEN CON TROL TEST MODES
H AN DLIN G T H E BOARDS
The Touch Control Board and the D isplay H ead
are subject to failure if static electricity is trans-
ferred to the components during handling. W hen
handling these parts, use a grounding strap, if
available. If not, touch any grounded metal surface,
(e.g. the appliance chassis), prior to handling these
components.
The replacement Touch Control Board and the
D isplay H ead are packaged in antistatic bags. W hen
removing the boards from their bags, handle them
as follows:
Touch Control Board
H andle the Touch Control Board only by the edges
of the glass and the plastic frame. D O N O T TO UCH
the connector pins, or the microprocessor chips
(see Figure A).
Display H ead
H andle the D isplay H ead only by the edges of the
plastic frame. D O N O T TO UCH the connector
pins, the microprocessor chip, or jumper wires
(see Figure B).
IMPORT AN T N OT E: Repack the old boards
in the antistatic bags before returning them
to a parts distributor.
