1.5. Quick Response— Alarm Silence
After you see a FIRE alarm, find the cause of the alarm. Then respond in accordance with your facility' s emergency
response guidelines. Finally, SILENCE the signalling appliances, as described below.

position (12 o" clock position) .

What happens
Buzzer will change from constant to pulsing tone for
Fire Zone red LED will light continuously.
Bells, horns, etc. (signalling appliances) will be silenced.
All alarm outputs will remain active.
Display will continue to display alarm information.
