Flash Code #4 - Right Motor Disconnected
Symptoms:
All battery condition meter LEDs flash four times, then
pause. This sequence is repeated until the fault is cleared.
Diagnosis:
There is a bad connection between the right motor (6) and
the power module (2).
Solution:
Use the following procedure to find the source of the flash code:
1. Remove the seat, main shroud, and front shroud. Refer
to the power chair owner's manual.
2. Unplug connector 6a from connector 2b. See diagram 3.
3. Measure resistance across pin 3 and pin 4 on connector
6a. See figure 12.
— If the multimeter indicates about 0.5 ohms - 1.5 ohms,
then replace the power module (2) and retest the system.
— If the multimeter indicates an open, then replace the
right motor (6) and retest the system.
Flash Code #5 - Right Motor Wiring Fault
Symptoms:
All battery condition meter LEDs flash five times, then pause. This sequence is repeated until the fault is cleared.
Diagnosis:
There is a bad connection between the right motor (6) and the brake.
Solution:
Use the following procedure to find the source of the flash code:
1. Remove the seat, main shroud, and front shroud. Refer to the power chair owner's manual.
2. Unplug connector 6a from connector 2b. See diagram 3.
3. Measure resistance across pin 2 and pin 4 on connector 6a. See figure 13.
— If the multimeter indicates less than 1 ohm, then replace the right motor (6) and retest the system.
— If the multimeter indicates an open, then replace the power module (2) and retest the system.
