    How to Use Pride Model Specific Technical Troubleshooting Guides All new Pride Model Specific Technical Troubleshooting Guides follow the same format. They are divided into sections addressing symptoms such as No Power. If the mobility product is capable of giving error codes, one section will deal with each code for that model.

    SECTION 1 - NO POWER Symptoms: The batteries are fully charged. All electrical components are connected correctly. The power does not turn on when the on/off key is pressed. The power does not turn on when the on/off mode select Figure 2.

    NE+ Electronics Symptoms: The J6 powers on but the NE+ joystick module (1) allows no other functions. The NE+ joystick module (1) displays a key icon to the right of the battery gauge. The batteries are fully charged. All electrical components are properly connected. Diagnosis: The power chair is in System Lock mode.
  • Page 11 NOTE: System Lock must be enabled (ON) in order to lock out the Q-Logic joystick module (1). Refer to the pro- gramming text. See figure 11. Solution: Use the following procedure to release the Q-Logic joystick module (1) from System Lock mode: 1.

    SECTION 3 - ERROR CODE DIAGNOSTICS NOTE: When there is an error or warning on the Q-Logic joystick module (1), the power chair icon will no longer be shown. Q-Logic Error Codes are displayed on the LCD screen or enhanced display by number. These error codes will usually indicate the system or componenet failure and a location.

    Battery Charging or Drive Inhibit Symptoms: The J6 powers on but will not drive. The off-board charger is not plugged into the NE, NE+, or Q-Logic joystick module (1). The Q-Logic joystick battery condition meter LEDs scroll when the joystick on/off mode select lever is deflected.

    5. Verify the inhibit program. The charger inhibit “chrgInb” should be set to “ON” for NE electronics or to “High Inhibit” for NE+ or Q-Logic electronics. See figure 18 for NE electronics or figure 22 for NE+ or Q-Logic electronics. —...

    Power Module Error Symptoms: The batteries are fully charged. All electrical components are properly connected. An error code is displayed when the NE, NE+, or Q- Logic joystick module (1) is powered on. Diagnosis: There is a module fault in the system. Solution: Use the following procedure to find the source of the error: 1.

    Communication or Software Error Symptoms: The batteries are fully charged. All electrical components are properly connected. The power turns on but displays a fault code other than previously discussed. See table 1, 2, or 3. A communication or software fault is found under “Actual Faults” or “Fault History” in the diagnosis section of the handheld programmer.
  • Page 17 4. Measure resistance across the red and black pins on connector 6a. See figure 23. — If the multimeter does not indicate about 0.5 to 1.5 ohms, then go to the next step. — If the multimeter indicates about 0.5 to 1.5 ohms, then plug connector 6a back into connector 8b and go to step 6.
