8. Measure resistance from connector 4a to connector 4b.
See figure 6.
— If the multimeter indicates less than 1 ohm, then go to
the next step.
— If the multimeter indicates an open, then replace the
circuit breaker (4) and retest the system.
9. Measure voltage from connector 3a to connector 3b,
and from connector 3c to connector 3d. See figure 7.
— If the multimeter indicates less than 18VDC for either
test, then replace both batteries and retest the system.
— If the multimeter indicates greater than 18VDC for both
tests, then replace the battery harness (3) and retest the
system.
SECTION 2 - BATTERY CONDITION
METER SCROLLS - INHIBIT ACTIVE
Symptoms:
The battery condition meter LEDs scroll from left to right.
Diagnosis:
An off-board charger is connected to the off-board charger socket.
There is a short between pin 2 and pin 3 on connector 1a and/or connector 2e (if the power chair is equipped with the
GC2 power module).
Solution:
Use the following procedure to find the source of the interruption:
1. Ensure nothing is plugged into connector 1a.
2. Turn the joystick module (1) off and then on again. Observe the battery condition meter LEDs.
— If the battery condition meter LEDs stop scrolling, then retest the system.
— If the battery condition meter LEDs continue to scroll, then replace the joystick module (1) and retest the system.
NOTE: If replacing the joystick module (1) does not correct the issue, then replace the power module (2) and retest
the system.
