From step 1:
8. Remove the main shroud. Refer to the power chair owner's manual.
9. Measure voltage across connectors 3a and 3d.
— If 0VDC is measured, then measure voltage across connectors 3b and 3c. See diagram 3.
— If the multimeter indicates the same voltage as measured in step 1, then the batteries are too low to charge with the off-
board charger. Take the batteries to an authorized service center for load testing and charging.
— If the multimeter indicates a different voltage than measured in step 1, then go to the next step.
10. Remove the front shroud. Refer to the power chair owner's manual.
NOTE: Do not disconnect the circuit breaker (4) from the battery harness!
11. Unplug connector 3e from connector 2c. See diagram 2.
12. Measure voltage across pin 1 and pin 2 on connector 3e. See figure 4.
— If the multimeter indicates the same voltage as measured in step 9, then plug connector 3e back into connector 2c and
go to the next step.
— If the multimeter indicates a different voltage than measured in step 9, then go to step 15.
13. Unplug connector 1b from connector 2a. See diagram 2.
14. Measure voltage across pin 1 and pin 4 on connector 2a. See figure 3.
— If the multimeter indicates the same voltage as measured in step 9, then replace the joystick module (1) and retest the
system.
— If the multimeter indicates a different voltage than measured in step 9, then replace the GC2 or GC3 power module (2)
and retest the system.
From step 12
15. Measure resistance across the two terminals of the circuit breaker (4). See figure 6.
— If the multimeter indicates less than 1 ohm, then replace the battery harness (3) and retest the system.
— If the multimeter indicates greater than 1 ohm, then replace the circuit breaker (4) and retest the system.
