14. FIRMWARE UPGRADES

14.1 Wi-Fi-Enabled for Automatic Firmware Update

You can automatically install any available firmware updates to your
Bluetooth system via a wireless network.

• Working distance: Within 10 m

14.1.1 Connecting to the Bluetooth System

Firmware will be upgraded automatically when the Bluetooth system is
charging. If you want to upgrade the firmware, you must first change the
settings in the SENA MOTORCYCLES App.
1. Connect the helmet to the USB charger (5 V/1 A), the Bluetooth
system will power off automatically.
2. The built-in Wi-Fi automatically turns on and the red LED flashes
quickly.
Note:
• Any 3rd party USB charger (5 V/1 A) can be used for firmware
updates if the charger is approved by either the FCC, CE, or IC.
• Do not connect the Bluetooth system to a USB port on your PC to
update the firmware.
• Do not disconnect the USB Cable while updating the firmware.
Doing so may damage the product.
• Do not turn the Bluetooth system on while updating the firmware.
