Prerequisites

1. Remove the battery.
2. Remove the optical drive.
3. Remove the keyboard.
4. Remove the base cover.
5. Remove the hard drive.

Procedure

1. Open the latch, and disconnect the I/O-board cable from the I/O board.
2. Push the securing tab to release the I/O board from the palm-rest assembly.
3. Lift the I/O board off the palm-rest assembly.
