Cleaning your fireplace
Refi t and Check Window
1. Insert the window inside the appliance case and
rest it on the fi rebox front bottom tabs.
2. While holding it, push in and screw the bottom two
bolts to secure them.
3. Insert the top two bolts pins into the slot/holes
and turn them 90 degrees to secure them.

4. Hook the window baffl e to the top of the window
frame. The baffl e hides the bolts. Be careful not
to hook the baffl e onto the fi rebox frame, only to
the window frame as indicated.

WARNING
The window unit must be correctly
installed, fastened and sealed after
servicing or serious bodily injury and/or
damage to the appliance may result.
To ensure a safe operation:
• Double-check that the window frame is
correctly installed;
• Verify that the spring-loaded bolts are
hooked properly to the window tabs
then;
• Pull out the top of the window and
window baffle and release them to make
sure the springs return it; repeat with
the bottom of the window;
• Ensure the window is sealed by pressing
its frame against the firebox before
operation.
WARNING
Failure to install the window correctly
can:
• Leak carbon monoxide;
• Affect the performance of the fireplace;
• Damage components;
• Cause overheating resulting in
dangerous conditions.
Damages caused by incorrect window
installation is not covered by the Valor
warranty.
5. Grab the top of the window and baffl e and pull
them forward and release to check that the win-
dow opens slightly and returns confi rming the
good function of the spring-loaded mechanism.
6. Similarly, check the bottom of the window by pull-
ing it forward and releasing it.
7. Apply fi rm pressure around the window frame
to ensure the window is sealed tight against the
fi rebox.
