Printing

Step 5: Starting Print Output

Procedure
1.
Prepare the print data.
2.
Output the print data.
• When outputting from commercial application software for creating drawings
Refer to the documentation supplied with your application software.
• When outputting from VersaWorks
Refer to the [VersaWorks Help]>[Basic Operations for Output].
3.
Cut the media when outputting is complete.
IMPORTANT
Output Is Not Possible in These Situations
• The machine does not run when a cover (front, or maintenance) is open.
• This machine does not complete startup until the heater reaches the specified temperature, and does not
accept any operation.
When the ambient temperature is low, the heater is slow to warm up. Use the machine in an environment
where the temperature is 20 to 32° C (68 to 90° F).
• Output is not performed when [POWER] key does not stay steadily lighted. After the media is loaded, pull
the loading lever. When the [POWER] key flashes, no operation except for canceling output is accepted.
• If you send the output data in a state where there is no ink left, a warning buzzer will sound and the
machine will stop temporality. A message indicating that ink has run out is displayed in the Status field of
Utilities. When the ink cartridge is replaced with a new one, printing or cutting starts.
Points that must be observed
• Never open a cover (front, or maintenance) while output is in progress. Doing so interrupts printing.
• When you are performing printing, clamp the edges of the media with the media clamps. Otherwise, the
edges of the media may warp and catch on the print heads.
• During output, do not touch the media. Doing so may obstruct the media feed or cause the media to rub
against the print heads, which may result in a paper jam or damage to the heads.
• Keep the loading lever raised when the machine is not in use.
When not using the machine, remove any media and store it in a suitable environment.
• If the machine is left with the media loaded, the media may be damaged, which may adversely affect-
printing. When not using the machine, remove any media and store it in a suitable environment.
