Notes on
installation
Hydraulic
Brake pads
Disc Brake
If the brake pads are contaminated with oil, if the brake
pads are worn down to a thickness of 0.5mm (0.9mm), or
if the brake pad presser springs are interfering with the
rotor, it is recommended that you replace the brake pads.
At such times, Do not apply any pad grease to prevent
brake noise. If pad grease is applied, the grease will melt
due to heat from the pads during riding, and the grease
may get onto the surface of the pads affecting braking
performance. Furthermore always replace the snap rings
or cotter pins when replacing the brake pads.
Hydraulic
Rotors
Disc Brake
If the rotors are bent or severely damaged, they should be replaced.
