Features

The infrared conference system is designed to convert
audio signals into infrared optical signals, which are
transmitted through infrared interface units and
infrared radiators to infrared receivers in halls used for
conferences and exhibitions. Combined with a
simultaneous interpretation system, the system can be
applied to such events as small-sized international
symposiums or panel discussions featuring speakers
from many countries. Combined with VCRs and
monitors, the system can be used in exhibitions, sales
promotions, public information displays as a guide
system. Since the system uses infrared rays,
confidential or secret material is not leaked outside the
hall.
The system is composed of the following units.
• SX-1062 Infrared Transmitter
— This unit passes the signals via the 75-ohm
coaxial cable, to the infrared radiators placed a
maximum of 200 meters (656 feet) from the
infrared transmitter through infrared interface
units.
— Signal transmission is based on the PPM (Pulse
Position Modulation) method so that the
transmitting range is not affected by the number
of channels in use.
— This unit is equipped with the 3CH/4GP•6CH/
2GP switch. Since the unit has 12 channels, 12
channels are divided into 4 groups and 4 types of
information can be sent on 3 channels for each
group, by setting this switch to 3CH/4GP. By
setting the switch to 6CH/2GP, 12 channels are
divided into 2 groups and 2 types of information
can be sent on 6 channels for each group. This
function allows you to use one infrared
transmitter as multiple infrared transmitters and
set up four or two conference systems or guide
systems used in a situation where several kinds of
information need transmitting.
— You can connect up to five infrared radiators in
series to each RADIATOR connector of the
infrared transmitter via infrared interface units.
— You can mount the unit in a 19-inch rack using
rack mount fixings (not supplied).

• SX-9133 Infrared Radiator
— The unit receives audio signals which are
converted to infrared that is then picked up by
receivers in the conference hall.
— The unit is compact and lightweight yet offers
high-level output.
— The unit uses DC power, which is supplied from
the infrared interface units with signals.
• SXA-33 Infrared Interface Unit
— The unit is placed between the infrared transmitter
and the infrared radiators to receive PPM signals
from the infrared transmitter and send these PPM
signals as well as DC power to the infrared
receivers in the hall.
— Since the unit is compact and lightweight, you can
install it easily and safely with screws even if wall
space is limited.
• SX-2130 Infrared Receiver
— The unit picks up the infrared output by the
infrared radiator.
— The unit uses a rechargeable lithium ion battery.
With a fully-charged lithium ion battery, the
infrared receiver operates continuously for 22
hours.
— You can hook the infrared receiver onto a pocket.
The unit can also be hung around the neck using
the supplied strap.
• SXA-75 Charger
— The SXA-75 Charger is designed to recharge the
infrared receivers' built-in lithium ion batteries.
— You can recharge 50 receivers at one time.
Recharging takes about 5 hours.
— To recharge 17 or fewer receivers takes about 2
hours.
— The three BATTERY CHECK indicators allow
you to check the current charge level of the
batteries.
