6. Sensors

6.1 Temperature sensors in district heating pipes

If the iGRID Pressure and Temperature Zone products have pre-
installed temperature sensors, make sure that the operating range
of the sensors corresponds to the expected operating temperature.
The temperature sensors are mounted in thermowells.

6.2 Pressure sensors in district heating pipes

If the iGRID Pressure and Temperature Zone products have pre-
installed pressure sensors, make sure that the operating range of
the sensors corresponds to the expected operating pressure.

6.3 Flow sensors in pipe connections

If the iGRID Pressure and Temperature Zone products have a pre-
installed flow sensor, make sure that the operating range of the
sensor corresponds to the expected flow.

7. Electrical connection

The system must be fitted with an external supply dis-
connecting device. Make sure that the supply discon-
necting device can be locked in the disconnected posi-
tion [OFF].
If not supplied by Grundfos, the pumps must be indi-
vidually fitted with an external supply disconnecting
device.

In case of an insulation fault, the fault current may be
a DC or pulsating DC. Observe national legislation
about requirements for and selection of Residual Cur-
rent Device (RCD) when installing the pump.
All electrical installations must comply with EN
60204-1 and local regulations.
Do not make any constructional changes to the solu-
tion.

thorised electrician according to local regulations.

the pump or pumps and other electrical equipment.

Make sure that any control panels and internal pipe in-
stallations are connected to earth.

7.1 Routing of cables

Make sure that the cables do not touch hot surfaces.
The cables between the power box and the pump or pumps must
be routed in the pre-assembled cable trays or channels.
When installing or removing the pump, do not pinch or
damage the cables.
