VALVE AND VALVE SPRING ASSEMBLY

1. Install:
• Valve 1
• Valve spring 2
• Valve spring retainer 3
• Valve cotter 4
Apply a small amount of molybdenum
disulfide oil to the valve stem and use
the valve spring compressor 5 to
SVU3280J
install the parts.
Valve spring compressor:
NOTE:
Install the chamfered side of the valve cotter
facing down.
CAUTION:
Do not compress the valve spring more
than necessary.
