Fault
A deviation is indicated during
another test even though the
fault has been remedied.
The error message 'IRED F
error' or 'IRED B error' is
displayed.
A test alarm cannot be triggered
using the '2.3 Check+Testalarm'
command.
The firmware update using the
'FDUD29x Firmware Updater' is
interrupted.

Are the infrared sensors on the
service device dirty?
Is there direct sunlight?
Is the 'Device Not Testmode'
message displayed on the
service device?
Is the 'CRITICAL:updater:Could
not connect, upgrade not
possible' error message
displayed?
Does a window appear with the
'An error occured: Could not
write the target' error message?
Are the following 3 conditions all
met?
Yellow service device LED is
flashing
Orange MCL-USB adapter
LED is on
Window with 'An error
occured: Could not write the
target' error message is
displayed

Remedying faults
Remedy/problem
If a fault has been rectified on a collective
detector line, the internal alarm indicator
of the compatible device and the service
device both show the fault until the fault is
reset or the power supply is cut.
Reset the fault on the control panel.
Briefly cut the power supply to the
device.
Clean the grid.
Vacuum off the dirt or clean the infrared
sensors with a brush.
Avoid direct sunlight.
Switch on test mode on the control panel.
Adapt the energy management settings in
Windows so that the PC cannot switch off
the MCL-USB adapter.
Switch off the service device and repeat
the steps to update the firmware. See the

Restore the firmware. See the chapter
'Restoring the firmware with the
'FDUD29x Firmware Updater''.
