Only use the power tool, equipment, tool bits, etc. in accordance with these instructions
and by taking the working conditions into account, e.g., the work being carried out. Using
the power tool for work other than the stated could result in a dangerous situation.
Servicing
The power tool needs to be serviced by a qualified person from an authorized service partner
using only original and identical parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
Additional safety instructions for the electric belt sander file
Warning!
Safety instructions for all future operations: Hold the power tool by its insulated
gripping surface, as the belt may contact its own cord. Cutting a live wire may expose metal
parts of the power tool, making them live as well, and could lead to an electric shock.
Wear a dust mask when sanding. Thoroughly remove all dust after sanding. Take special care
when sanding paint which is possibly lead-based or when sanding certain woods and metals
which might discharge toxic dust.
Wear a dust mask specifically designed for protection against lead-paint dust and make sure
that people within the work area or entering it are protected, too.
Do not let children or pregnant women enter the working area.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke within the work area.
Dispose of dust particles and any other debris properly.
Before using the tool on wooden work pieces, install the dust bag.
Before using the tool on metal work pieces or work pieces containing metal, remove the dust
bag.
Wear gloves when working with metal work pieces.
It is recommended that the tool always be protected by a residual current device with a rated
residual current of 30 mA or less.
