Information about surge voltage protection

The measurement areas and the supply voltage to the sensor are protected
with Polyswitch fuses. If the current is too high, the resistance of the fuse
increases and thus the internal electronics are protected.
Operating information
Be sure to observe the following when using the current/voltage con-
verter:
Set the measuring range of the current/voltage converter before
starting a measurement!
Try not to change the measuring range during the measurement
process! If the measuring range is changed during a measure-
ment, the measurement will be carried out after a delay. This
delay results from the fuse reset time.
NOTICE
When connecting external sensors, be sure that the sensor
connection cable is connected using the proper cable colour
as documented in the data sheet.
