- Page 5 Do NOT over-tighten the bolts. Over-tightening the bolts may damage the threads or cause the bolt heads to break off. Once the latch mechanism is in the correct position, tighten the bolts. NOTE: To ensure control of the SolidStep, keep a firm hold on the steps while testing the functionality. Once the transport lock has been adjusted, test its functionality by shaking the step assembly to simulate road vibration.
