Purpose

This document describes the removal and replacement of the speaker in the Solera® Power Awning Regal

Head (Fig. 1).

• 1-3 people, depending on task.

• Putty stick or similar tool

• Cordless or electric drill or screw gun

Page 2 SOLERA POWER AWNING REGAL HEAD ® SPEAKER REPLACEMENT AWNINGS Instructions The following instructions apply to the drive and idler heads with speakers. Removal Extend the awning about 12" away from the unit. Failure to secure the outer arms may result in personal injury, product or property damage. Pressure from the gas strut can cause the outer arm to kick open, which could cause injury, product or property damage.
Page 3 SOLERA POWER AWNING REGAL HEAD ® SPEAKER REPLACEMENT AWNINGS With the grill cover (Fig. 3) removed, remove the rubber foam gasket from the top of the speaker (Fig. 4). There is a small tab (Fig. 4) in each corner of the open cavity that the actual speaker sets in. Remove the speaker and determine if there is enough slack in the wires to pull the speaker out far enough to disconnect it from the main harness.
Page 4 SOLERA POWER AWNING REGAL HEAD ® SPEAKER REPLACEMENT AWNINGS Remove the two screws (Fig. 5) on the back of the head cover. Separate the front cover from the back (Fig. 6). Disconnect speaker. NOTe: The shell is made of a plastic molding, which consists of plastic tabs (Fig. 6) and notches that snap together.
