BATTERY DISCHARGE INDICATOR

WARNING
Disconnect the Main Power Connector (see chapter 1)
before disconnecting any electrical component. The
Main Power Connector is the first to disconnect and the
last to connect when servicing the electrical system.
This vehicle is equipped with a Battery Discharge
Indicator and Hour Meter combined in one gauge on the
dash.
Battery Discharge Indicator
(Level of Charge Indicator)
The battery discharge indicator displays the amount of
charge removed (used) from fully charged batteries
based on voltage level received from the 48 Volt (RD)
wire on Pin B of the wire harness connector.
When the batteries are fully charged (100%), the right-
most bar (1) illuminates, indicating 0% has been used.
As batteries discharge, the voltage on Pin B drops and
the illuminated bar moves toward the left of the display.
NOTE
If batteries are not allowed to fully recharge during
charging the battery discharge indicator may be
inaccurate.Full charge is indicated by a solid green light
on the Charge Status Indicator.
When the third bar from the left flashes (2), battery
discharge is at 30%. The batteries should be recharged
as soon as possible. Avoid discharging the batteries
more than 80%.
If the warning (3) begin to flash, battery service life will be
significantly reduced with continued operation. Stop the
vehicle and recharge the batteries.
The Battery Discharge indicator also displays Battery
usage numerically (4).

Hour Meter
The hours display shows at key on for a limited amount
of time. This display can be identified by the time symbol
(1) to the left of the hours.
The hour meter records and displays the hours (2) of
KEY ON TIMEsince manufacture (see image below).
