3. Slowly apply parking brake while watching the meter.
Continuity should exist within 2-3 clicks from the
brake released position. If no continuity exists when
parking brake is applied, verify switch terminals and
wire connections are clean and tight. Replace switch
if necessary.
Disconnect the Main Power Connector (see chapter 1)
before disconnecting any electrical component. The
Main Power Connector is the first to disconnect and the
last to connect when servicing the electrical system.

INDICATOR LIGHT CIRCUITS

VOLTAGE LEVEL: 14.0 VDC
LOCATION: Indicator light panel on dash.

OVERVIEW: Indicator lamps are powered by the RD/DG
wire on pin A of the indicator panel whenever the key
switch is ON. Each lamp has a controlling switch or
device which, when active, supplies a ground to the
individual bulb circuit, illuminating the lamp.

for description of indicator light function or the
appropriate System Wiring Diagram (listed above).
TROUBLESHOOTING NOTES:
Individual lamps can be swapped for testing purposes.
Disconnect panel harness and verify power (14.0 Vdc) is
present on the RD/DG wire terminal (Pin A) with key
switch ON. If power is present, inspect the appropriate
ground-controlling switch and/or circuit.
