If the LAN cable connection display appears,
there may be a problem in the Home Network
connection. In this case, do the procedure below.
When connecting the unit directly to the
computer with a network (LAN) cable

Connect the NETWORK port of the
unit and the computer using the
network (LAN) cable.

Enter the settings menu and select
[Import from PC] on the unit.
The unit starts preparing for audio file import.
When the LAN cable connection display
appears, select [Import using LAN cable].
Note
The LAN cable connection display will not appear if
the unit is already connected to the Internet or the
HOME NETWORK function is ready for use.
When preparations have completed, the
following display appears.
This completes the preparations for importing
audio files.

To import audio files on the
computer to the "Music Transfer"
software
Do the following on the computer.

Click the [Start] menu, and then
select [All programs] – [Music Transfer
LAN] – [Music Transfer] to start up the
"Music Transfer" software.

Click
[Import Music Files].
The "Music Transfer" software begins
importing audio files that have not yet been
imported.
To transfer imported audio files
from the "Music Transfer" software
to the unit
Do the following on the computer.

Select the [Tools] menu of the "Music
Transfer" software and click [Select
Transfer Destination].
The "Specify Transfer Destination" display
appears.
When you click [Update to Latest State], the
software searches for transfer destinations
and updates the list.

Click the name of the unit in the
"Transfer Destination" list, and then
click [OK].
The unit is set as the destination.
Note
The settings of the security software on the computer
may prevent the unit from finding destination
devices.

Click the "Not Transferred" tab, and
then confirm that the desired audio
files are checked.
Click the check box to deselect items that you
do not want transferred. Click the check box
to select the items again.
