PILOT ORIFICE

1. Close fuel supply valves to inlet of heater.
2. Loosen pilot tube compression nut at inlet of pilot
clean-out device.
3. Remove pilot clean-out device from its pilot bracket by
applying a wrench of appropriate size to hex of orifice
holder and loosening the device from the pilot
bracket.
4. Using a 6mm wrench or nut driver, remove the orifice
from its holder.
5. Clean the orifice with compressed air.
6. To assemble, reverse these procedures.
Do not poke or push any instruments or tools into the
orifice hole.
The hole is drilled to a specific diameter.
Introduction of instruments or tools into the orifice hole
may enlarge the hole, thereby creating pilot outages.
PILOT SAFETY GAS CONTROL VALVE
1. Shut off the gas supply to the heater.
2. Disconnect the hose from the hose adapter on the
pilot control valve.
3. Loosen the thermocouple nut from the pilot safety
control valve.
4. Loosen the injector tube screw nearest to the gas
valve on the injector body.
5. Loosen the compression nut at the outlet of the pilot
relight regulator.

6. Remove control assembly from heater.
7. Remove pressure switch with adapter from pilot
control valve.
8. Remove the adapter which connects pilot control to
pilot relight regulator.
9. To assemble, reverse these procedures.
