Search for and Log In to a Camera
1. Power on the camera.
2. Use a network cable to connect the camera to the commissioning laptop (or a video security tester).
3. Change the laptop IP address to be in the same network segment as the camera IP address.
The default values of ETH0 and ETH1 are 192.168.0.120 and 192.168.1.120 respectively for the camera.
If the camera is not directly connected to the network or you have logged in to the camera before, you
can use the SimsLite (or iClient SDC) to search for the camera IP address.
4. Open Internet Explorer as an administrator and enter the default camera IP address in the address box.
5. Change the IP address of the camera as planned.
• Choose Settings > Network > TCP/IP.
• You need to configure IP addresses for the two network ports respectively.

6. Configure text overlay on the image.
• Choose Settings > Video/Audio/Image > OSD.
•
Click Add OSD or the edit icon in the Operation column and add the camera
installation location to the Content column, as shown in the following figure.
