In the preview, highlight the
channel that you want to
record.

transfer the information to the

timer using the OK button.
A maximum of 4 timer
recordings can be programmed.
Note
Ensure that the date and time on the TV set
have been set correctly.
The start and end times of a programme may
change, therefore you should use the VPS times
by selecting "VPS yes" in the "Timer
Information" menu.
The TV set must not be switched off at the TV
control panel using the On/Off button if timer
recordings have been programmed. "Eco-
standby", if it has been programmed, is not
activated with timer recordings.
With VPS recordings and if the TV set has been
switched to standby using the remote control,
the TV set will automatically switch to the
corresponding channel approx. 1 hour before
recording is due to start and will change to the
timer mode, in other words, the green and red
indicators on the TV control panel will light up.
Switch the video recorder to standby as well, so
that only the time is displayed.
Entering Timer Information "By Hand":
• Press the button.

• Call up the video menu using the M button.
• Select the line "Timer record".
• Confirm with OK.
• Select the line "Manual".
• Confirm with OK.
• In the preview, select the channel to be
recorded.
• Confirm with OK.
• Check the timer information, such as AV
connection, VPS yes or no, date.
• Enter the start and end times.
• Confirm with OK. The timer information is
saved.
• Exit the menu using the E button.
Changing or Cancelling
Timer
• Press the button.

• Call up the video menu using the M button.
• Select the line "Change timer".
• Confirm with OK.
• Select the timer to be changed.
• Confirm with OK.
• Make the corrections.
• Confirm with OK. The new timer information
is saved.
To cancel timer information, select the line
"Cancel timer" in the video menu.
Select the timer to be cancelled and confirm with
OK in order to cancel it.
Playing Back Radio Signals
over TV Set
If you want to play back over your TV set the
sound signal from a satellite receiver or
another music source, connect the appliance to
the AV1 or AV2 socket using a corresponding
cable.
A) Call up Main Information using the
button and select "AV Connections".
B) Highlight the corresponding line in the "AV
Connections" menu, e.g. AV 1 (channel
199).
C) Under "Signal:" highlight "Audio......Radio".
D) Then press the OK button.
E) Remove the menu using the E button.
Listening to Radio:
• Call up the channel preview using OK; the
letter R is given after a channel number for
radio.
• If a channel labelled in this way is called up,
the message "Radio Mode" is displayed for
a few seconds and then the screen becomes
dark.
The red and green indicators on the TV
control panel are lit in radio mode.
You can listen to radio and
adjust the volume using the
right/left arrows on the remote
control.
Use the up/down arrows to
switch to other stored radio
stations.
If you want to watch TV again, then ....
• enter the number of a TV channel using the
number keys, or ...
• press the OK button,
• this will display the channel preview and
you can then select another channel.
