If you set "Automatic - VHS/SVHS", for
example, the signal type of the connected video
equipment is usually detected during playback
and set automatically for the AV connection
socket used.
If a colour recording is to be played back by
video equipment in back and white, then it is
possible that the signal type will not be
detected. In this case, select the corresponding
signal type, e.g. VHS/8 mm or SVHS/Hi8, etc.
Some video equipment, e.g. Pay-TV decoders or
computer game consoles, emit RGB signals
(red, green, blue). This type of video equipment
should be connected to the AV2 socket.
In this case, select the line "At AV 2 (channel
198) in the "AV Connections" menu. Under
"Signal:" highlight "RGB".
F) Confirm your settings with OK.
G) Normally, highlight "Automatic" in the
"Standard" submenu. If the standard is not
detected automatically, highlight the
equipment-specific standard.

be operated via a video operating strip
displayed on the screen.
To display/remove video

There is a video operating strip for each
appliance, provided you have connected the
video appliances to AV1 and AV2 and have
specified this in the "AV Connections" menu.

Note
You will not be able to switch to a different
channel now (the channel is locked). The lock is
only cancelled when recording has stopped,

then another channel can be selected.
Exception:
If a satellite tuner is integrated in the TV set,
you can select a satellite channel. This channel
is recorded by calling up the video operating
strip and switching the video recorder to record
using the button. It is then possible to
switch to a TV channel from the cable network
or the roof-top aerial or watch a video on a
second video device.

it manually to record TV programmes with the
video recorder.
