"Contrast"
The contrast setting depends on the brightness
of the room. The contrast should be set higher
if the surroundings become brighter.
"Colour"
Use the colour of people's faces as a guide
when adjusting the colour intensity. Obviously,
you should set a natural face colour.
"Brightness"
Adjust the brightness so that black areas of the
picture only just appear black.
"Sharpness"
Adjust to get the best definition.
"Picture format"
The screen format of this TV set is 4:3. Many
television films are transmitted in this format.
Set "ext. 16:9" if you want the video recorder
to play a rented video that has been recorded
in the 16:9 format.
"Photo CD"
Turn on this function for optimum image
definition if you want to view pictures on a
photo CD.

the TV.

In the "Standard settings" menu, you can save
your personal sound and picture settings, i.e.,
volume, contrast, colour intensity, as the normal
settings, call them up, or call up the "Factory
settings".

Parental Lock

The parental lock blocks operation of the TV
set. You can block all the channels or only
specific channels. You can block all the
channels once, daily or for a certain period of
time.
If the parental lock has been activated, the PIN
code is requested when the appliance is turned
on. If the PIN code is not entered, or not
entered incorrectly, the TV switches back to
standby mode after a short time interval. The
red indicator on the TV control panel is lit up.
Activating parental lock:
Call up the TV menu
M
Select the line "Child lock"
Confirm with OK and ...
OK
enter a four-digit PIN code.
Remember the PIN code! (see
page 29)
In the next menu you can choose whether the
parental lock applies to all or specific channels,
immediately or after the TV has been switched
off or after a specific time period.
