Setting Channels Manually

Setting Manually
The menu enables you to subsequently alter
channels that have already been saved, or to
search for others, add them to the channel
preview and save them, provided that you
know the transmission modalities of the
broadcasting station.
The following functions can be performed:
1. Selecting TV reception range.
2. Setting channel number.
3. Directly entering frequency for a
broadcasting station.
4. Entering channel names.
5. Selecting TV standard.
6. Selecting colour standard.
Other adjustments can be made if the TV set
is equipped with a satellite tuner, e.g.:
Selecting satellite.
Setting sound carrier frequency.
Selecting mode – stereo/mono – bandwidth.
Selecting satellite radio mode on/off.
Setting video parameters.
Calling up "Set Manually" menu:

Press button.
Select the line "Programmes".
Confirm with OK.

Select the line "Setting
manually".

Confirm with OK.
Select the "Range" in which
you want to search for a
broadcasting station.

Select the line "Channel"
or ...
"Frequency" and ...
enter the numbers, if known.
You can also start a channel or
frequency search by pressing
the blue button.
The search stops when a broadcasting station
has been found.
Note that only broadcasting stations with the
set "TV Standard", e.g. B/G, are displayed
correctly.
If you want to locate broadcasting stations
with a different TV standard, you must first set
the corresponding TV standard and set the
"Colour Standard" to automatic, or set the
colour standard and then start the search.
The channel name is displayed automatically if
the broadcasting station also transmits
Teletext.
If the TV set is equipped with a satellite
tuner and you want to search for a
broadcasting station from a satellite, in the
"Set Manually" menu under "other" first...

• the satellite must be selected ...
• and possibly also the satellite band low /
high
Note
The "Band" menu only appears if it has been
specified under "Switching on for the first
time".
• then enter the satellite range "Sat/V"
(vertical) or "Sat/H" (horizontal).
• Select "Automatic" under "Colour Stan-
dard".
• Under "Frequency" enter the frequency
as a five-digit number, provided this is
known for the broadcasting station.
• If the frequency for a particular
broadcasting station is not known, then ...
• enter 001, for example, under "Channel"
and ...
• start the search by pressing the blue button.
The search stops when a broadcasting
station is received. Start the search again
with the blue button until the desired
broadcasting station in the selected satellite
range (Sat/V or Sat/H) and in the low/high
band has been located.
If the sound or picture is not very good,
additional adjustments must be made.
Sound settings:
• In the "Set manually" menu, select
the line "Sound carrier".

If you hear two sounds (languages) or noise
on a channel, then for good sound playback
• switch from "Stereo" to "M110" or another
bandwidth under "Mode 1".

Some broadcasting stations transmit more
than one language or additional radio
stations on different sound carrier
frequencies.
• For this setting, select "Sound 1" and use
the right/left arrows on the remote control
to set the frequency 7.38 (MHz), for
example.
