Switching on for the first time

Selecting Menu Language

Follow the menus and perform the necessary
adjustments in the following sequence.
• First you have to select the menu language
for your TV set using the remote control.
• Pressing the OK button will take you to the
"Location of TV set" menu.
Indicate the country in which you are using
the appliance.
Note
If your TV set is equipped for satellite reception,
additional adjustments will need to be made
based on the available satellite aerial system.
In this case, carry out the operating steps
described in the section "Setting satellite
parameters".
Automatically searching for and saving
terrestrial or cable channels:
After you have answered all the questions for
automatic programming, the selected settings
will be displayed.
Check whether the settings are correct.
To search and save, select ...
• the line "Start search".
• Then start automatic programming with the
OK button.
The TV searches for, saves and sorts all the
channels that can be received by your aerial
system and then displays the channel
preview.
• Remove the channel preview with the
button.

Setting Satellite
Parameters
Selecting the satellite aerial system for
automatic programming:
You can determine whether to automatically
search for and save satellite channels only, or
both satellite and cable channels.
Each individual channel position on the TV can
be assigned a terrestrial TV channel, cable
channel, satellite TV channel or satellite radio
station.
• In the "Aerial(s)" menu, indicate which
aerial(s) is (are) connected to your TV.

Terrestrial or cable aerial system:

If you can only receive channels from terrestrial
broadcasting stations or from a cable network,
then select "Cable".
If you can receive cable channels and satellite
channels, then ...

Make a selection in this menu based on your
satellite aerial system.

This TV set offers the following control system
options for satellite aerials:
• DiSEqC 1.0 for DiSEqC Multi-switch
• Switching voltage 13 / 18 volt
• Switching frequency 0 / 22 kHz
• Sound burst switch
If necessary, ask you aerial installer or
your dealer about the type of satellite
aerial system and the aerial settings.
In the "Satellite System" menu, indicate
whether your aerial system receives channels
from one satellite or from more than one.
