You can also enter a frequency in the range
5.50 to 9.10 MHz directly.
• If you want to store a radio station as such,
then ...
• select the line "Radio mode 1".
• Set "Radio mode 1 yes".
If you selected M110 under "Mode 1", you
can set a different sound carrier frequency
under "Sound 2".
Note
If stereo was set under "Mode 1", stereo is
entered automatically under "Mode 2".
With "Stereo", a bandwidth of 180 kHz is pre-
selected; if the frequency of 7.38 MHz (left
sound channel) is selected for "Sound 1", for
example, the right sound channel is
automatically set to
7.56 MHz.
You can listen to satellite radio, as described on
page 21.

• Under "Amplitude", normally "Amplitude
Autom." is set.
It may be necessary to set a different
amplitude value for encoded channels,
values 1 to 7.
• "Clamping", normally "Clamping on"
should be set. However, some Pay-TV
decoders require an unclamped video
signal. In this case, change to "Clamping
off" (without a decoder the picture will
flicker).
• "Deemphasis"; normally "De-emphasis
on" should be set. Some Pay-TV decoders
require the baseband signal to decode Pay-
TV channels; in this case, set to "De-
emphasis off".
• "Polarity"; channels can be transmitted
with positive or negative polarity. Most
satellites transmit channels with positive
polarity. Some satellites in the
4 GHz range transmit with negative polarity.
If the polarity is set incorrectly, a negative
image of the picture will be displayed, or
the picture will flicker.
Saving Settings:

Note on TV Standards
Entering the TV location for the automatic
channel search automatically sets the normal
TV standard for this country.
If you can receive broadcasting stations from
other countries, you may have to select the
correct standard
under "TV Standard" in the "Set manually"
menu.
Select a TV standard and confirm with OK; the
colour standard is then assigned automatically.
If the quality of the colour picture is poor, the
corresponding colour standard must be set
manually.
