Add a RAM Module on FlashStation

The optional Synology RAM module is designed for FlashStation memory expansion. Follow the steps below to
install, check, or remove a RAM module on your FlashStation.
To install the RAM module:
1 Shut down your FlashStation. Disconnect all cables connected to your FlashStation to prevent any possible
damage.
2 Remove the rear top cover:
a Remove the screw on the back of FlashStation.
b Pull the rear top cover, and put it aside.
Note:
When you remove the rear top cover, you expose sensitive internal components. Avoid touching anything other
than the memory assembly when you remove or add memory.
3 Remove the beam:
a remove the 4 screws at both sides of the chassis.
b Pull up the beam, and put it aside.
