Bluetooth® operation
To enable optimum telephone reception and keep the electromagnetic radiation in the vehicle
as low as possible, you should always use an external antenna when using the mobile phone.
You have to activate automatic call reception so that the mobile phone accepts incoming calls
automatically (see the menu of the hands-free equipment). In many countries, this is a
prerequisite for the legal operation of hands-free equipment while driving.
In Bluetooth® operation, the CD tuner can be used as hands-free equipment for mobile phones and/or playback
device for Bluetooth® A2DP audio streaming.
However, before it is possible to transmit between your mobile phone or Bluetooth® device and the CD tuner, both
devices must be connected with each other. This process is called „pairing".
Pairing
• Press and hold the button MODE (2) for 2 seconds.
• The display (3) shows PAIRING.
• Turn your Bluetooth® device on and also activate pairing mode here (see the instruction manual of the
corresponding device). Now the device searches for Bluetooth® devices in the reception range.
• Once the CD tuner was found, your Bluetooth® device shows the name TBMB1880.
• Enter the password 1234 to connect both devices with each other.
• After successful pairing, the LC display shows (3) PAIR OK.

If the display shows PAIR ERR instead of PAIR OK, this means that the CD tuner is presently connected
with another Bluetooth® device. In this case, press the button 0/Band (20) for 2 seconds to terminate
this connection. Then repeat the steps described above.
