Bluetooth® Operation
For the most optimal telephone reception possible and to minimise the electromagnetic
radiation in a car, the mobile phone should always be used with an external antenna.
In order for the mobile phone to automatically answer incoming calls, automatic call answering
on the CD-Tuner (see the hands-free equipment section) and also on the mobile phone (see the
respective manual) needs to be activated.
In Bluetooth® operation, the CD-Tuner can be used as a hands-free speaker for the mobile phone and/or as a
reproducer for Bluetooth®A2DP-Audio-Streaming. However, before a communication between your mobile phone
i.e. the Bluetooth® device and the CD-Tuner is possible, the devices must be coupled with each other. This procedure
is called "Pairing".
Pairing
As long as there is no Bluetooth® device coupled with the CD-Tuner, the Bluetooth® symbol on the display will
blink.
Turn your Bluetooth® device on and activate the Pairing mode (for this, please see the manual of the
corresponding device). The device will then search for other Bluetooth® devices within its reception range.
When the CD-Tuner is found, your Bluetooth® device will display the name ANSON - - BT.
Enter the password 0000 to couple the devices together.
After a successful pairing, the display will show the Bluetooth® symbol as steadily on (5).
To end the coupling, push and hold the button 7 / TA (19). DEL PAIR will be shown on the display and the
Bluetooth® symbol will resume blinking. At this point, all the data of the coupling will be deleted.
There can only be one Bluetooth® device coupled with the CD-Tuner at a time. Should there already
be an active Bluetooth® coupling then any additional connections will be denied. To couple another
Bluetooth® device with the CD-Tuner, the existing coupling must first be broken as described above.
If the CD-Tuner or the Bluetooth® device, with which an active coupling already exists, is turned off or
moved out of reception range, then the connection will be lost. When the Bluetooth® device is then
turned on again or returns to within the range of reception of the CD-Tuner, then the connection will be
automatically restored. The display of the CD-Tuner will briefly show CONNECT and the blinking
Bluetooth® symbol will return to a steady state.
To setup this automatic connection, the function on your Bluetooth® device might possibly need to be
activated (please refer to your Bluetooth® device's manual).
