Problem
The CD-ROM Access Indicator on the Status
Indicator Panel blinks at regular intervals when
no CD is in the tray or the CD-ROM drive is
not installed.

Possible Cause
6. Wrong drive designator was used for
CD-ROM in the application.

Possible Solution
6. Verify drive designator used by application in
use by operating system. When the operating
system is booted from CD-ROM drive designa-
tions are automatically adjusted. (See Boot
Menu on pages 73–74.)
7. Start the CD from the desktop or application
software or re-enable the Windows auto inser-
tion function. (See CD-ROM Access Indicator on
page 19 for more information.)
