Chapter 7 RAS Function

7.1 LED Indication

The front panel of the FL654A module has LED indicators. The indication of these LED indicators
allows the module status to be identified.
In the normal state, the "PER" LED goes off, while the other LEDs are all lit.
For more information on this, see Chapter 2.
For LED indication in the event of module down, see 7.5, LED Indication in the Event of Module
Down.

7.2 G2 I/O Module Status

The statuses of the healthy counter and each I/O module, indicating that I/O module input/output is
performed normally, are sent to the first 4 words of the talker area of the FL654A. The high-level
7
controller can see the statuses of the FL654A module and connected I/O modules on the basis of
these status information.
For more information on this, see Chapter 6.

7.3 Operation in the Event of I/O Module Abnormality

The FL654A checks whether the I/O modules are normal or abnormal each time input/output cycle is
complete. If any I/O module is detected to be faulty, the FL654A stops input to or output from such
an I/O module and sets the noted module status to abnormal.
However, the FL654A continuously performs inputs/outputs with respect to the remaining normal I/O
modules.
