4.2 Periodic Inspection

Check the followings at regular intervals (every six months), or when operating environments has
changed.

Power supply Voltage of the power (measure at the terminal block of the
module)
Loose screws of power supply terminals
Check that wiring cable is not damaged
Installation Check the base unit is securely attached to the chassis
condition
Check each module is securely attached to the base unit Not loose or no play
Check that the connector of cable is not loose and the
cable is not damaged
Around Check that the functions of the nV-Tool are normal
nV-Tool
Check that the connector and the cable are not damaged Not loose or no damage
Around G2 I/O Measure the voltage of each of the G2 I/O modules at the
module terminal block
Check the LED of the input status display
Check the LED of the output status display
Check that the I/O terminal block is installed securely
Check that the terminal screws are not loose and the
terminals have a sufficient distance to the adjacent ones
Check that wiring cable is not damaged
Environment Check that the temperature, humidity, vibration, dust, etc.
are within the specified range
When measuring the power supply voltage at the
terminal of the module, work so that the body does
not touch the terminal.
Otherwise, it may cause electric shock.
Do not modify/repair/disassemble/adjust the device,
module, or board.
It may cause electric shock, fire, injury, or failure.
Upon malfunction or failure, contact our branch office or service
office.
