2.9 Talker Block Head/Listener Block Head Setting Switches
(TBH, TBL, LBH, and LBL)
2
These switches set the head addresses of the FL654A talker area and listener area in the FL-net
cyclic common memory. They are hexadecimal rotary switches, and are located in the lower left side
face of the module when facing the module. The switches are set using a small flat-head screwdriver.
Because the settings are read at power-ON of the FL654A, if you wish to change a setting, turn OFF
the power, change the setting, and then turn ON the power again.
The FL654A stores data read from the input modules, starting at the head address of the talker area
set using the talker block head setting switch. It periodically sends data in cyclic transmission.
In contrary, the FL654A reads data starting at the head address of the listener area set using the
listener block head setting switch. It outputs data to the output modules.
The switches set the numbers of blocks that are formed by dividing Area 1 (512 words) or Area 2 (8K
words) of the FL-net cyclic transmission common memory into 256 blocks. The block numbers
range front 0 to FFh, and the high-order digits are set in "**H" and the low-order digits are set in "**L."
Area 1: one block = 2 words (512 words / 256 = 2 words)
Area 2: one block = 32 words (8192 words / 256 = 32 words)
