1.1 Functions and Features

FL654A is a remote I/O station module that connects G2 I/O module to FL-net.
By using the FL654A, you can connect the G2 I/O module to the FL-net system without the controller,
and update the input / output data of the remote I/O by cyclic transmission between the host
controller and the remote I/O station.
FL654A can be used as a function compatible product of integrated controller V series model 2000
FL-net remote I/O station module FL654.

1.1.1 Functions

(1) I/O automatic recognition function
The FL654A recognizes the G2 I/O module installed in the remote I/O station and performs
data communication by assigning the input module to the talker area of FL-net cyclic
transmission common memory and the output module to the listener area.
(2) Operation setting function
The FL654A can specify the network connection, I/O status at the time of failure, and the
talker/listener area position on the FL-net cyclic transmission common memory by the switch.

(3) RAS function
The FL654A can check the operation status with LED display and module status and can
collect RAS information with terminal software of PC. For details, refer to "Chapter 7 RAS
Function".
(4) Maintenance function by engineering tool nV-Tool
The FL654A can be maintained in combination with the engineering tool nV-Tool by operating
with the TOOL designation. For details, refer to "Chapter 9 Maintenance Using nV-Tool".
