5 Maximum set temperature
As soon as the water temperature drops below the selected value,
the heating element automatically switches on. The ON/OFF in-
dicator light illuminates until the selected temperature has been
reached.
For low water consumption or very hard water, we recommend a
low temperature setting, as water above approx. 55 °C deposits
limescale.
4.1.1 Holiday and absence
ª If the appliance is not in use for long periods, set it to frost
protection or disconnect it from the power supply, in order to
save energy.
ª For reasons of hygiene, heat up the content of the cylinder
once to above 60 °C before initial use.
4.2

Rapid heat-up

You can increase the output with the rapid heat-up button. A
second heating element is switched on (see chapter „Specification
/ Data table"). The second heating element is switched off when
the selected temperature has been reached.

Cleaning, care and maintenance

ª Never use abrasive or corrosive cleaning agents. A damp
cloth is sufficient for cleaning the appliance.
ª Check the taps regularly. You can remove limescale deposits
at the tap outlets using commercially available descaling
agents.
ª Have the electrical safety of the appliance and the func-
tion of the safety assembly regularly checked by a heating
1
contractor.
ª Have the protective magnesium anode checked by a heating
contractor after the first year. The heating contractor will
then determine the intervals at which it must be checked
thereafter.
ª Regularly activate the safety valve to prevent it from becom-
ing blocked by limescale deposits.
