Distance from unit to Tee must be at most 1 m and pipes should be balanced, be of equal length and have
equal number of holes.
The use of additional bends as described in Section 5.5 will have a minimal effect on performance (response
time) of either configuration.
Note: Please see the table in Section 9 for AS 1603.8 hole and pipe length limits for certified detectors.
These limits describe pre-tested and acceptable system design values for the standard pipe
configurations described in this section, for each type of certified detector.
